lyrics

My Light, My Liege, My Love
Oh my light, my liege, my love, I wonder how did you grow up
Do tell me how you knew the branches from the sap
Still I will guard your temple mote with your toesies down my throat and then I will retreat to rest upon your lap
But my light, my liege, my love, what are you awaken from when you stumble from my clutches every night
For when you wretch it makes me choke on my tears and through the oak I can see the horrors you still cease to fight
Oh my light, my liege, my love, the lord will strike you from above and you are present while your sweetheart guts and grieves
But on a cold November's night, I will be forced to take your life
You'll be buried near the courtyard by the trees

A Lone Strange Sermon
I sell goods to dying fishermen in paper bags near my cottage by the outskirts of Humble Ridge
A book clad in burgundy velvet, concurred by four squares of brown iron
Pages musk soggy, now exempt from the ravein
Inside are quaint rudiments of life and death and love
Paying farewell to my colleagues, discreetly I shuffle it from view
A lone strange sermon, devoid of myth or magic, but still with oceans flooding from the fingertips of one yellow eyed mystic
Tonight, dozens of charismatics devour my cottage
I hear their sinister dialogues in my dreams
An exorcist penning reimbursements and a grandmother punches her own lights out
A man in a mask smokes invisible cigars
I awake from my sleep appears a white light of truth
Softly I step outside my bedroom and then I lock eyes with a man and his neck is shaped like a thimble, his arms open, and still the light does not cease in its prophetical hold upon the corridor
"But then where are we going?" I call from the vein of the sheep stained calliope
He says "Remain in caution" and I retreat into the carriage
He offers me a drink which I decline respectfully
He will unveil a curtain, yes, one obscured by the trees revealing images of hope and serenity
